Happy 2026 !
Hey folks ! Looking forward to a slew of fun gigs this year, plus getting in the studio to work on our next recording ! See below for upcoming gigs - we’ll be returning to 1919, Glen Echo Park, Main Street Tower in Bel Air, and the Stoltz Listening Room in Easton (been a couple years since me last played The Stoltz - look forward to seeing our Eastern Shore friends again !)....Re Arty Hill’s Zen West Honky Tonk Presents - that monthly gig will move to Wednesdays ! Me and LGDs will be there in Feb and April, and our good friends Karen Collins and The Backroads Band will be there March 25 !…We’ll be playing our first ever gig at Manor Mill in Monkton for their “In Concert and Conversation” series. Conversation ? Uh oh - never know what ol’ Arty might say so better get your tickets now :). Link is below in the gig listing…..And finally, I’ll be teaching two classes in Elkins, WVa this summer 2026 at Augusta Heritage Classic Country Week, which will be held for the first time in downtown Elkins at Augusta Heritage’s brand new facility ! This is gonna be a super fun time !!! This year I’m teaching “Deep Into Country Standards” (a class on rarely heard/played country classics) and “Supporting the Song in Country Music” (a class on how to make the song sound as musically/instrumentally/vocally good as possible in a jam or band setting). My good friends Beth Chrisman, Blake Whitmire, Thomas Bryan Eaton, and a host of others will be there. Please join us the week of July 6, 2026 ! Link to sign up is below...

Augusta Heritage Classic Country, Cajun & Creole Week
July 6-10, Downtown Elkins, WVa. A week of great Classic Country Music classes, dancing, jamming, fun and friendship. Arty Hill will be teaching “Deep Into Country Standards” (a class on rarely heard/played country classics) and “Supporting the Song in Country Music” (a class on how to make the song sound as musically/instrumentally/vocally good as possible in a jam or band setting). Plus !!!!! a week-long celebration of the rich cultural traditions of Louisiana, focusing on its iconic music, dance and, of course, food. Workshops all day in Cajun and Creole music, including fiddling, accordion, singing, guitar and cooking, followed by evening dances where you can learn the Cajun two-step and waltz.
